Fashion

the reality of beauty.

10 million surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures were performed in the United States in 2008

Women had over 9.3 million cosmetic procedures

In 2006, suicide was the third leading cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24.1

50% of girls between the ages of 11 and 13 see themselves as overweight.

4,000 respondents in varying numbers between 15% and 30%  said they would rather walk away from their marriage, give up the possibility of having children, be depressed, or become alcoholic rather than be obese.

Vibes from Kris Renta

Joe Rubenstein 2009 / K Monet Beauty StudioAs the VibeThat collective grows each day, I find myself continuously intrigued and amazed by the not only the momentum this project has created but also the beauty its managed to collect in such a short period of time.  Each of us pour our creativity into this project; naturally it’s a pleasure to see a positive output from our efforts.   The growth, exposure and increased success of our contributors and visitors excites all of us to keep supporting each other knowing the struggle to do what we love ultimately ends up being the adventure we sought from the start.

On the journey, its about the people we meet and the experiences we create together that prove this was the right path all along.  Recently I had the pleasure of meeting the talented and stunning Kris Renta and introduced her to VibeThat.  Just a few days later, I noticed and couldn’t help but smile at the post she wrote on her blog, KrisRenta.com (see below)

The most interesting thing to me about Kris is not only is she beautiful and talented, but she exudes originality in all directions.  Her first two posts, Welcome to the Circus Ride and Sacred Thought are a suiting introduction to what you can expect to see from her.  Vibrant, enticing photography, eloquent poetry and everything in between.  For now, enjoy some of her latest work and be sure to keep an eye on this emerging talent.

Hey all!! Just want to spread the word about a wicked awesome blog I am now affiliated with: VIBE THAT.com!

It’s bringin’ it back to the old days of community based creativity and shared visions expanding consciousness among artists. This is your formal invite to ‘be a part of’ the whole!

The founder, Brett Napoli, is young in years and old in soul. Sitting down with him to discuss the long range view not only inspired but motivated me to be more proactive in sharing thought, expression and perspective on how my world rotates on this axis we call Earth.

View my introduction HERE!! And be sure to keep up on Twitter and Facebook as well!!

With that, I will be updating this on a more steady basis and ‘Vibethat’ as well! Looking forward to colliding..

WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS RIDE VIBE THAT!

Hey guys!!  Kris Renta here!!

I had the honorable invitation of being apart of this blog during a meeting with Brett yesterday: Thanks Brett! Your vision is inspiring and I’m stoked to be apart of an artist community with illin’ juju (that’s ‘energy’ in Kris language). I dig this whole concept for many reasons, the most apparent being that it will force my often lacking diligence in updating my own personal blog (which I JUST redesigned last week and is a continuous work in progress).

Kris Renta Blog

Besides that, I’m into posting poetry, music (digital in kind), media arts, events, FASHION, FASHION-and did I mention: FASHION?! For as a working actress and model, I’m usually surrounded by the often interesting NEVER boring types. Which keeps my monkey mind occupied, creative channel flowing and posts..well….JUICY!

WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS RIDE VIBE THAT!
Gotta love how The Universe delivers what I need through others and vice versa!

With that, I decided to start with a piece I wrote last week while considering the level of humility in my life-which goes handin hand (if you ask me) with gratitude. It’s called 777, and it goes a lil somethin’ like this:

Humility flies in and out of my eyes; inner, outer and cries-to be seen. SYNCHRONIZE. From within me I dream from seams not-as-often seeping in self-seeking frequencies these daze. Faulting many times in a momentary haze and kicked back to retract old patterns of yesterday forming down new synapses as the audience of my awareness claps in tic-tac-toe cadences.

I pray-affirm-confirming that the path of my destiny, is now in the light. Debating always still, as the rebel inside me always will-wanting to fall back in unserving acts of comfort ability. Then my heart speaks true. Knowing better than to put all this ambition before you, before that which my fellow soul child goes through: a TRUE FRIEND.

Lend me your hand when I’m lost in the test, stressin’. Teach me what it’s like for you to breath your life lessons. Help me hear the key misperceived to sing when I fall flat on that staff I think I know so well. And I’ll cast my spell.

I’ll lend you every time I fell and rose in lyrical melodies and prose, in inspiration floating to the Dimension of Serenity’s tune perfectly composed. Cuz the higher self knows: it’s give and receive, this prize. It’s karma kissing the path where you and I collide. Gazing eyes. Inviting us to create away from dead paradigms. From traditions deeming relationships idealized in Society’s eyes.

Where I become we, and we can survive…

Because..
