Professor X and The Chem Lab

Emerging hip-hop recording artists Professor X and The Chem Lab are redefining the genre with their debut album “The Hydro-Thesis.”

The group uses the energy of a live rock/funk/reggae band in combination with edgy, clever, and catchy rap vocals to create a fresh new sound that appeals to a diverse audience. Hailing from Connecticut the group has quickly made an impression on the live music scene and developed a following with both main-stream hip-hop fans and rock & roll fans alike. Radio air-play spotlighting new and emerging talent has been creating a demand for their much anticipated debut release.

Global Giving

GlobalGiving.org enables people to donate to grassroots projects; education, health, microfinance by connecting donors with community based projects that need support. Choose by topic or region, “Vocational Training for 100 Women in Pakistan” for example.  Or, you might donate to Economic Independance for Women in Central America, where  $25 will ‘help fund a loan and training for a poor, indigenous woman in rural Central America, enabling her to start a business, create financial security for her family, and break the cycle of poverty.’

A perfect example of how we can use the web to connect, share and support things that make really make a difference. Kudos to everyone over at GlobalGiving.org for facilitating truly positive change.

“Our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.”

Bizarre and unusual destinations around the world

I find myself constantly intrigued with not only the magnificent wonders the world offers us, but the imagination and ingenuity of its inhabitants since the beginning of time. As the technologies of communication are enhanced daily and our ability to communicate multiplies at astounding rates, at least one positive effect is the ability to for us to share and revel in the wonders that surround us. What interests me the most is how people of the past may have never had the chance to see these things in their lifetime, but we can travel the world with just a few clicks. With the stream of information moving so rapidly, its easy for these gems to get lost in the heap.
