Vision of the Future, Reinventing the User Interface

The future is now, this video will undoubtedly blow your mind.  This is a video of a point and touch computer interface that allows multiple users, no mouse, collaborative work and human-computer interaction with a three-dimensional computer workspace over a variety of platforms.  The technology from the movie “Minority Report” could be in your home office in 5 years or less.

“We can’t have advances in technology any longer unless design is integrated from the very start.” – John Underkoffler

TED Talks: John Underkoffler points to the future of UI

Remember the data interface from Minority Report? Well, it’s real, John Underkoffler invented it — as a point-and-touch interface called g-speak — and it’s about to change the way we interact with data.

VibeThat.com Report – 44 Days

The dream continues as we spread vibes worldwide!

VibeThat.com is a young 44 days old, but the concept and vision of this project represents to us the essence of realness and truth we as a people have embraced and continuously build upon.  The internet isn’t about websites, it’s about ideas. We’re here to share vibes.

Today’s media offers an overwhelming quantity of information.  Content flows at lightning speeds with decreasing significance,  hidden gems and in-depth works of art are easily overlooked and overshadowed by the trending story, latest fad or juiciest gossip.  We see more and more news focusing on shock value, negativity or the actions of celebrities.  Frustrated with resorting to these outlets and sifting through the garbage, we simply developed our own source.

VibeThat was founded on several core ideals: stay human, support and embrace growth, expression, change and how unique yet similar we are.  We share what we find and invite you to do the same.

VibeThat.com is an outlet, a streaming feed of media, video, photos, inspiration, power, love, knowledge, stories, tales, everything and anything its supposed to contain.

These are the latest vibes, this is a different source of media.

As a master chef prepares their favorite dish for honorable guests, we collectively engineer masterpieces of our own and instantly serve our platter of pan-seared media, breaded with thoughts and passionately baked to perfection.  We prepare our dish for those of you hungry for this style of enlightenment at this particular time.

We’re human, all we have is each other.  We can trust one another, we can get burned, we can understand how each other works or it can leave us puzzled.  Manipulation, greed and the sale of one’s values for instant gratification will distract us but inevitably return to its creators in the cycle.  Let the motivated not be deterred; it’s a big world for sure, but a small world after all.  Not every great story is told, like those of our veterans; we must remember those who do great things don’t do them for notoriety but to facilitate positive change that eventually benefits us all.  Without reaching for the goals that seemed the most unattainable and unrealistic, where would we really be today?  It’s common for big ideas to be quickly and almost completely shut down before they can begin to rise. (See: Pandora)

“Only the strong will continue, do you have it in you?” – Nas & Damian Marley

“Sometimes you’ll run your best race and you’re still going to lose.” – GN

“I have learned this at least by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.” – Henry David Thoreau

Pieces will fall into place exactly as they need to.  Though misunderstood at first, the timing is always perfect. VibeThat.com represents a continuously growing and evolving spirit of innovation, growth and faith amongst us all.  This is the manifestation of a dream; a media outlet that builds trust over time and can be relied on when it’s needed the most.  A good friend mentioned something recently I really enjoyed:

God, We, the creator, the Universe, whomever or whatever you’d like to refer to It as, grants great power, responsibility, trust and strength to people (He/We/It) knows can harness these gifts and share them with others to create a better world.

This is a simple website with a simple goal: sharing media, ideas, thoughts and dreams to catalyze positive growth, love and humanity for all.  We share. We spread love. We watch this project evolve as you help us create something amazing. Love having you along for the ride.

5 Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires

Serious knowledge / motivation / inspiration / power / truth in this article.

5 Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires

1. Set your sights on where you’re going

2. Educate yourself

3. Passion pays off

4. Grow your money

5. No guts, no glory

The Biggest Secret? Stop spending.
Every millionaire we spoke to has one thing in common: Not a single one spends needlessly. Real estate investor Dave Lindahl drives a Ford Explorer and says his middle-class neighbors would be shocked to learn how much he’s worth. Fitness mogul Rick Sikorski can’t fathom why anyone would buy bottled water. Steve Maxwell, the finance teacher, looked at a $1.5 million home but decided to buy one for half the price because “a house with double the cost wouldn’t give me double the enjoyment.”

A Tribute to George Carlin

“An artist has an obligation to be on route, to be going somewhere, there’s a journey involved here and you don’t know where it is and that’s the fun.”
“Every person you look at you can see the universe in their eyes if you’re really looking”
- George Carlin

Welcome to The Future: Web to TV

GoogleTV on the New York TimesSource: http://www.nytimes.com/

A technology that always seemed inevitable has finally arrived: bringing the Internet to your television.  Today the world was introduced to Google TV, an idea that’s been on the minds of techies since before the days of YouTube.  I’m not so focused on the fact Google is doing this, but instead that the idea is finally being put into action.  The world of cable television is long overdue for a shakeup, it will surely be interesting to watch as this technology undoubtedly creeps into all of our lives in the next few years and is likely to completely change the way we watch television.  From targeted advertisements to movies, surfing the web and more.  I’m convinced within the next 5 or so years, commercials will really be talking to us.  If our television was hooked up to the internet we would all have our own username.  Ads would be targeted to us and would likely change depending on the time of day.  There is no reason why an 8:00am commercial couldn’t say “Hey Bill, how about a coffee on the way to work! Exit 18 off Route 1.” once the internet is connected to your TV.  We already tell the internet where we are, what we do, where we work, where we’re going, who we know and what we like. I predict that soon this information will be working for us.

We can’t help but acknowledge how we’re more connected every day. The mobile web, the mobile Internet, people all across the globe have minicomputers in their pocket. Video cameras, a messaging device, maps and a navigation system.  Pretty soon we’ll all be video-chatting on our phones while we walk into the park. Pretty sure this is the future.  Though I’m still keeping an eye out for jet packs.
